About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Highway Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading roadway/highway analysis and design efforts on conventional and general engineering consultant and/or design-build projects for GDOT, county, and municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead roadway/highway analysis and design efforts on various projects
  • Develop and manage labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects
  • Coordinate with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure effective communication
  • Meet project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
  • Georgia PE licensure
  • Proven experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff
  • Proven experience participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans
  • Proficient in construction document production
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • GDOT experience
  • Experience working on General Engineering Consultant and/or Design-Build contracts
