About the Role

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hospital, providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Restock housekeeping supplies as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and other high-touch areas.
  • Remove animal waste and clean areas as needed.
  • Lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent walking, bending, and standing.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
