Responsibilities:
- Maintain all school building floors, including daily use of walk behind machines, dust mopping, and mopping twice per week.
- Upkeep and cleaning of moldings and trims.
- Stripping, waxing of hard surfaces during school breaks.
- Use of carpet extractor on hallways, classrooms, and offices during school breaks.
- Waxing, buffing of hard surfaces and extraction of carpets campuswide during summer months.
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, and extractors required.
- Prior experience completing housekeeping tasks is highly desirable.
- Ability to use small tools for assembling furniture and equipment.
- Ability to operate power equipment as related to housekeeping tasks.
- Ability to carry material, equipment, and furnishings by physically lifting or through use of transporting devices such as dollies and carriers.
- Valid Michigan driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, 4pm - 12:30am. The pay rate is $19.67/hour. Cranbrook offers competitive compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability, and retirement programs with employer match.
