Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team at BrightStar Care N. Houston/The Woodlands. As a Field Specialist CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our patients in their homes, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements.
  • Providing care according to the patient's plan of care, assistance with daily tasks, including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to doctor appointments.
  • Developing and promoting a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies and procedures, and standards.
  • Mentoring newly hired CNA's and participating in orientation activities.

Requirements:

  • A current, Texas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Certified CPR and a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required (unless participating in an approved Mentor Program).
  • A valid Texas Drivers License with insurance and a reliable automobile.
  • Must have Covid 19 Vaccine.
  • Must be able to work in a home environment with pets.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.
  • Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule:

  • You must be available for any shift that starts between the hours of 7am-7pm.
  • You must be available 5 days a week, including 1 weekend day.

Compensation:

  • Base pay = $16-$18 per hour DOE.
