Job Summary

The Technician I - Telecommunications Data Center will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance of our telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure servers, routers, and other network hardware.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware and network issues.
  • Cabling and Infrastructure: Manage and organize network cabling.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and system updates.
  • Technical Support: Assist higher-level technicians and provide basic support to end-users.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Some experience in a data center or IT environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications and networking equipment, including routers, switches, and servers.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
  • Experience installing and removing network and power cabling are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
