Research Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Research Manager to lead a critical study on nuclear energy capabilities, trade-offs, innovations, and supply chain risks. The successful candidate will oversee the project's progress, ensuring that all research activities align with legislative requirements and scientific standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee the research project, including the development of research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and timely delivery of findings to the client.
- Act as the primary liaison between the project team and the client, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Lead the execution of research projects by drafting proposals, selecting methods, supervising cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and presenting findings.
- Develop a project methodology, conduct and oversee literature reviews, attend project meetings, prepare progress reports, and collect data.
- Conduct analysis of data, interview subject matter experts, analyze findings, and summarize results.
- Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings, and write reports to summarize findings and implications.
- Strong background in project management, preferably with experience in energy research or policy studies.
- Superior communication and organizational skills to effectively liaise with government agencies, industry partners, and academic collaborators.
- Experience responding to congressional queries, conducting studies and research, and working with congressional staffers or drafting legislative correspondence.
- Excellent skills in project management, teamwork, and data analysis, enabling effective leadership, presentation, collaboration, and data interpretation.
- Proven work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role, with excellent administrative skills, knowledge of research methods, and ability to work under pressure.
- TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance, with a minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, 6 years with a MS/MA, or 3 years with a PhD.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and related regulatory issues.
- A degree in a field related to the study, with familiarity with federal nuclear energy regulations and compliance requirements.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
