Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Finance Director to join our organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial management, budgeting, and operational efficiency to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of our company. As the Finance Director, you will manage financial operations, collaborate with senior leadership, and implement systems to improve financial performance. Your role will be crucial in shaping our financial strategy, supporting our growth, and maintaining sound financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end closing process in collaboration with our outsourced accounting service provider.
- Work closely with executive leadership to design and manage budgeting processes that align with strategic goals.
- Act as the primary liaison for our external CFO, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Develop new initiatives to enhance financial operations, including expense management and vendor negotiations.
- Promote familiarity with current accounting systems (NetSuite, Brex) and drive their effective use within the organization.
- Lead the internal budgeting processes to support operational efficiency and ensure financial transparency.
Qualifications:
- Strong accounting skills, particularly in closing processes.
- 4-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with a proven ability to manage financial models.
- Expertise in data analytics, financial modeling, and ROI analysis.
- Experience in establishing finance operations from the ground up in a startup environment is preferred, showcasing adaptability and innovation.
Work Environment:
This position requires a hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days in the office each week. Initially, the expectation is to work in the office daily until proficiency in the role is demonstrated.
