Surgical Coordinator

About the Role
OCLI Vision is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Coordinator to join our team. As a Surgical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through the surgical process, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Schedule surgeries to be performed in our facility, following established procedures for schedule changes
• Coordinate patient medical history and clearance with our Nurse Practitioner and/or PCP
• Maintain and track all necessary patient information, including demographics, medical history, and insurance details
• Prepare surgery schedules for review by our Nurse Practitioner and/or Clinical Nurse Director
• Educate and advise patients on surgical procedures, preoperative preparation, and postoperative care
• Collect payments and perform EMR documentation accurately
Requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for long periods
