Job Title: Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a key member of our inpatient team, you will provide high-quality patient care, lead treatment plan meetings, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to patients on the inpatient unit, including timely documentation and re-assessments.
  • Participate in treatment plan meetings and ensure timely documentation.
  • Lead Behavioral Codes on the unit and provide leadership to the staff and patient community.
  • Work with the medical-consultation team to ensure proper management of medical problems.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date legal statuses for patients.
  • Participate in Performance, Quality Assurance, and Clinical activities.
  • Collaborate with the UM department to conduct MD to MD reviews and participate in appeals to ensure authorization of inpatient stays.
Qualifications:
  • Board eligible or board certified in Adult Psychiatry.
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
