Overview:
As a Substance Use Disorder Therapist, you will deliver specialized therapeutic interventions to individuals grappling with substance use challenges within both residential and outpatient settings. Your role will encompass conducting thorough assessments, crafting personalized treatment strategies, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at fostering recovery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and stages of change.
  • Lead group therapy sessions effectively.
  • Manage a client caseload while providing compassionate support.
  • Collaborate with external community providers and internal team members.
  • Address crisis situations and provide immediate assistance.
  • Engage with clients' families and contribute to community outreach initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of client records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in therapy for substance use disorders.
  • Strong clinical capabilities and familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Willingness to obtain PCB certification within one year of employment.

Work Environment:

  • Work in diverse settings, including offices, treatment facilities, and community locations.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
