Nurse Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Nurse Technician to join our team at Samaritan Healthcare. As a Nurse Technician, you will provide clinical support to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Perform and document clinical activities within the scope of practice, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Observe and report changes in patient care to the RN, ensuring timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with the care team to develop an effective interdisciplinary plan of care, prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Must be a student in good standing and have completed at least one academic term, including a clinical component, or be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing awaiting results of the licensing exam for Registered Nurse.
- Must be registered by the Washington State Department of Health as a Nursing Technician.
- Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
Competencies:
As a Nurse Technician, you will demonstrate critical thinking skills, accountability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will also possess the ability to care for patients across the age continuum and demonstrate competency in equipment listed on the department-specific checklist.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds (supplies and equipment).
- Physical strength to perform CPR (bed/floor), lift and push/pull 60 to 300 pounds (with assistance) as often as 20 times per 8 to 12 hours.
