Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN/RN to join our team at First City Recovery Centers LLC. As a Nurse in our chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver client-centered care to individuals suffering from alcohol abuse and/or substance abuse and mental health
  • Work under the supervision of the Medical Director, Charge Nurse, and Program Director
  • Collaborate with a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to provide comprehensive care
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status and assist with medical provider orders
  • Monitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage and mental health concerns
  • Process point of care urine drug screens and prepare take-home medication
  • Document accurate client records and maintain accurate medication inventory records
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state
  • Maintains current CPR certification
  • Detoxification experience preferred
  • Current (five-years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions
  • Required to have a current TB immunization and/or verification
  • A minimum of a Graduated from a community college with a Practical Nursing Degree or RN degree
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting
