Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at RTX. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out procurement processes and standards, including request for proposals (RFPs), negotiations, cost accountability, and program execution.
  • Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, supplies, and services.
  • Prepare purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
  • Support the preparation of RFPs and bid packages.
  • Compile records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyze data, and ensure account needs are met.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Qualifications We Prefer:
    • Experience: Relevant coursework or experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Customer Service.
    • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Aerospace Industry.
    • Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Systems Experience: Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP.
