Surgical Care Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Care Specialist to join their team in Peabody, Massachusetts. As a key member of the Perioperative Division, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and collaborating with the Nursing Manager to plan and implement patient care.
With 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience and a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in various surgical specialties, including Orthopedic, General Surgery, Vascular, GYN, Plastics, Urology, Thoracic, and Spine procedures.
The Operating Room at Salem Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a Hybrid OR and a well-developed Robotic Surgical Program with the DaVinci Xi robot. You will work collaboratively with expert nurses, surgeons, anesthesiology, and support personnel to deliver high-quality patient care.
As a Permanent Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing staff assignments, patient flow, and shift-to-shift decision making regarding staffing. You will also participate in the development of patient care clinical standards, evaluation of outcomes, and development of improvement initiatives.
