Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead the design of battery systems, including electronics, cell testing, and hardware testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of flight hardware.
- Work closely with program and manufacturing management to develop production processes and testing.
- Support the development of Automated Test Equipment for acceptance and qualification testing.
- Be responsible for the successful qualification of battery systems.
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of direct experience in battery development, 3+ years in space applications desired.
- Direct experience with Battery Design, Test, and Manufacturing.
- Experience with cell selection, testing, and screening.
- Experience with Battery Management Electronics and related Software.
- Familiar with testing and qualifying hardware per industry standards like SMC-S-018 and SMC-S-016.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Highly organized teammate with excellent technical communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to travel to and work at remote sites supporting test integration, commissioning, and training.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- Experience in development of launch vehicles.
- Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems.
- Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle.
- Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays. Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
