The IT Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all technical systems and processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. The Director will lead a team of technical professionals, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and building relationships with internal teams and external vendors to align technical operations with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline technical operations and ensure consistent performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define operational metrics, track performance, and implement improvements as needed.
- Educate staff and explain IT concepts and requirements in an easy-to-understand way.
- Oversee operations, lead teams, and implement best practices to contribute to the success of the organization and its technological capabilities.
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of the organization's technical infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical operations, infrastructure management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows servers, digital cloud phone systems, data center operations, and IT security.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, enterprise storage systems, and network protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior management, as well as explaining IT principles to a non-technical audience.
- Relevant certifications are a plus, especially those in IT security.
- Experience working in a non-profit setting, or a consulting background is highly preferred.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $90,000 to $105,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and 12 paid agency-wide holidays.
