Clinical Information Systems Director

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Information Systems Director to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and support to Clinical Information Systems, Cardiology, and other imaging applications across the organization.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead our Clinical Information Systems team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Clinical Information Systems, imaging systems, and solutions across the organization.
- Plan, design, analyze, evaluate, and lead or co-lead projects implementation activities.
- Technical Expertise
- Provide technical and professional guidance and assistance in the development and/or revision of documentation, dictionaries, dataflows diagrams, system architecture, disaster recovery procedures, test plans, technical instructions, release notes, end-user guides, training programs, and/or other materials.
- Lead, create, develop, and test interfaces between systems, including reviewing data integrity within existing system interfaces.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Proactively communicate status of activities, risks, and issues.
- Respond to incidents, user service requests, problem management, change management.
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline.
- Three (3) years of full-time experience planning, developing, and monitoring programs, systems, and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Certification(S)/NYS Licenses/Education: Health Information Technology, Clinical and Operational Professional Certification, Clinical Certifications, Technical Certification, Imaging Certification.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other Requirements: Strong technical expertise, Clinical analyst expertise, Medical imaging systems and devices experience, Information systems and EMR, Knowledge of integrated systems, Experience with Voice and Speech Dictation, 3 or more years of Health Information Technology, Clinical IT experience, and managing teams.
