Position Overview:

The Laundry Service Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that the hotel maintains a steady supply of pristine linens for guest use. This position is vital for the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all phases of linen management, including collection, transportation, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of laundry equipment.
  • Wash and dry linens, towels, and other items as directed by management.
  • Sort and remove soiled linens and towels from designated areas.
  • Fold and organize linens and towels, ensuring proper stocking of linen carts.
  • Understand and operate washing machines and dryers effectively.
  • Perform daily maintenance on laundry equipment, including cleaning dryer filters.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Keep laundry carts organized and free from debris.
  • Familiarize yourself with company policies and brand standards.
  • Restock linen closets throughout the hotel as needed.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Able to perform well in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Physical capability to push/pull laundry carts, with weights varying between empty and full.
  • Ability to lift linens from washers to dryers, with weights ranging from 25-150 lbs.
  • Desire to provide excellent service to all guests.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
