Position Summary:

We are looking for a Family Law Associate Attorney who possesses a strong passion for family law and is ready to make a meaningful contribution to our practice. This hybrid position allows for a balanced work environment, comprising 50% in-office/court responsibilities and 50% remote work, ensuring active engagement in all facets of case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody, and support matters.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and apply findings to inform case strategies.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations.
  • Manage a reasonable caseload to provide personalized, high-quality legal services.
  • Work closely with clients to formulate effective legal strategies and maintain open communication.
  • Stay updated on family law regulations and emerging trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in family law practice.
  • Strong grasp of family law principles and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.

Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000 annually

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court and provide legal guidance in family law matters.
  • Maintain organized files to ensure timely access to updates for team members.
  • Assist in conflict resolution, analyze legal issues, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Draft various legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Facilitate effective case management through clear communication with clients and paralegals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience specifically in family law cases in Texas is required.
  • Successful completion of the bar exam and possession of a JD degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA) is required.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar is essential.
  • Proof of a valid Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance is necessary.
  • Ability to accurately track billable hours is crucial.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel, with a quick learning ability for new software.
  • Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and reliability are key attributes.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills are vital for success in this role.
