Job Title: System Simulation Engineer

Draper is a leading research and development company that tackles important national challenges with a focus on delivering successful and usable solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled System Simulation Engineer to join our HWIL and Visualization Group.

Job Summary:

The HWIL and Visualization Group is responsible for developing dynamic simulations for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. As a System Simulation Engineer, you will be working on developing software models in MATLAB, Simulink, and C++ and executing real-time simulations in a Linux environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model operational environments and perform studies via computer simulation with guidance.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks to assess system survivability, system effectiveness, and overall system performance in engagement/mission-level scenarios, with guidance.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to gather necessary data and communicate intermediate and final results.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with analytical methods, approaches, and data visualization.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing analytical models of discrete and continuous physical systems.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with aerospace systems and related sciences.
  • Previous simulation experience with HWIL development, STK, Gaming Engines.
  • C and C++ Programming experience, with emphasis on embedded or Linux-based environments.
  • Linux system use, administration & programming.
  • Data analysis and visualization experience.
