Job Description

Draper Labs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Integration and Test Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our Sensors Integration & Test Group, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, analyzing, and assessing robust GN&C sensors for various applications, including defense systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of high-fidelity sensor models and test development and planning.
  • Conduct analysis on sensor packages and evaluate sensor performance integrated into high-level assemblies and systems.
  • Derive plans, approaches, and procedures for solving complex I&T problems across a program lifecycle.
  • Independently contribute high-quality content for technical reports and presentations.
  • Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a relevant role.
  • Demonstrated experience in completing system design technical baseline activities, verification and validation planning and execution, and integration and debug of complex systems and sensors.
  • Strong ability to lead small teams, collaborate, and present to stakeholders across internal and external functional boundaries.
  • Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with strategic weapon, DoD, space, GN&C, or inertial systems.
  • Knowledge of MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and system modeling languages (e.g. SysML).
  • Experience in functional system modeling and simulation development using Matlab, Simulink, or other comparable tools.
  • Experience in Systems requirements development and traceability and/or verification and validation with DOORS.
