About the Role

The Admissions Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth intake and admission process for patients at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital. This position requires a high level of expertise in mental health and a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their mental health status and develop a plan for their care.
  • Referral and Coordination: Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers and insurance companies, to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Patient Safety and Care: Collaborate with the CFBH physician to make recommendations for patient safety and level of care, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Communication and Education: Provide hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals, and educate patients and families about mental health services and resources.
  • Insurance and Benefits: Identify insurance benefits and pre-certify patient care, and complete all admission requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, or a Nursing Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in the mental health field, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to individuals in crisis and provide emotional support.
