About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Court Coordinator to join our team at Aspire Health Partners. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of the Marchman Act and Baker Act processes across all our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and facilitate the day-to-day operations and processes of Marchman Act and Baker Act involved cases, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a qualified professional for the Marchman Act, conducting involuntary assessments, completing court documentation, and serving as a liaison with the court.
  • Communicate with petitioners, support systems, and other interested third parties, as appropriate, and assist with licensure sign-off of clinical documentation.
  • Serve as the care coordinator for the Baker Act, collaborating with psychiatrists and PMHNP providers, ensuring proper completion and submission of court documentation, and serving as a liaison with the court.
  • Participate in unit treatment teams to facilitate the assessment and recommendation process for clients under a Marchman Act or Baker Act, ensuring compliance with processes, documentation, and timeframe requirements.
  • Provide care coordination for clients under an active Marchman Act or Baker Act/AOT court order, developing and facilitating transition of care plans, and providing required and as-requested written and verbal updates to the judicial system.
  • Ensure proper communication and information to clients under a Baker Act or Marchman Act, including a comprehensive transition plan with contact information for the Behavioral Health Court Coordinator, the courts, and other helpful resources.
  • Track case statuses and provide accurate and timely information updates to AHP treatment teams and leadership, as appropriate, on clients actively under a Marchman Act or Baker Act.
  • Document and appropriately bill all assessments, hearings, treatment teams, and information throughout the process accurately and in a timely manner in the EHR.
  • Ensure all documentation submitted to the judicial system is accurate, timely, and consistent with professional/APA writing standards and is on required forms and in required formats.
  • Provide updated information to the UR team to ensure ongoing authorizations, as needed.
  • Carry out efforts to identify community resources and their referral processes to meet the complex needs of clients, working to maintain effective and professional relationships with community partners.
  • Audit the quality of care, documentation, and process facilitation, and collect and track data on the success of the Marchman Act and Baker Act process.
  • Facilitate ongoing Marchman Act and Baker Act trainings for AHP team members and as-requested trainings for community partners.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a like field.
  • An active LMHC/LCSW/LMFT license in Florida.
  • A Level II Background clearance.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire's insurance company.
  • Computer literacy and previous experience with substance abuse and mental health populations.
  • Previous assessment and diagnosis experience, and previous acute care experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a larger team, and high-level written and verbal communication skills.
