Job Summary
The Admissions Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in the Intake Department at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient observations and monitoring to identify potential risks and concerns.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups to promote patient engagement and progress.
- Conduct searches and secure contraband to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Assist patients with daily living skills to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Manage patient behavior and maintain a positive milieu to promote a therapeutic environment.
- Accurately document patient information in the medical record to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Two years of experience working in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- CPR certification required (may be acquired after hire).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to support a multidisciplinary team environment.
