Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration: Accurately and efficiently register patients for appointments and procedures, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented.
- Procedure Scheduling: Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Charge Transmittals and Collections: Process and transmit charges for patient services, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the department, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as assigned.
- Education: High School Equivalent or GED required.
- Experience: 1+ years of related experience as a Secretary/Receptionist preferred, and customer service experience preferably in the medical field required.
- Skills: Typing skills - 30 wpm required, excellent verbal/communication skills required, detail-oriented required, basic computer knowledge required, and ICD9 coding and medical terminology preferred.
The Patient Service Representative will work in a fast-paced medical office environment, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
