Position Overview:

Service Specialist

The Service Specialist role is an excellent entry-level position within our grocery operations, offering numerous opportunities for growth and development within the Save Mart family. As a Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient functioning of the front-end operations by delivering friendly, prompt, and effective customer service. Your primary objective will be to foster a welcoming and helpful atmosphere in the store, thereby establishing a loyal customer base.

Compensation: Competitive hiring pay range.

Requirements:
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending is required.
  • Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings with varying temperatures.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and contribute positively.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by greeting and engaging customers, offering assistance, and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing store sweeps, focusing on front-end and entrance areas.
  • Conduct routine cleaning of registers and belts, manage trash disposal, and ensure shelves are dusted and organized.
  • Collect shopping carts from the parking lot to maintain a tidy and safe shopping area.
  • Assist with price checks and return items to their correct locations, prioritizing perishables.
  • Support clerks during busy periods by efficiently bagging groceries while preserving the quality of items.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
