Role Summary: As a Polymeric Surface Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the tactile properties of our materials. Your expertise will be essential in developing novel surface attributes that meet consumer expectations while ensuring our products remain completely petrochemical-free.

This position merges scientific inquiry with engineering practices, focusing on scalable solutions for large markets. You will explore new methodologies for surface haptic control and work on industrializing these innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate cutting-edge techniques in surface haptic control, ensuring compatibility with 100% biobased materials and sustainable practices.
  • Forge collaborations with leading companies in the field to develop prototypes utilizing diverse methodologies.
  • Enhance internal testing capabilities and deepen knowledge regarding surface haptic control.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, with a preference for industry experience over academic work.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or chemical engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  • Proven ability to devise creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to communicate effectively and utilize hands for various tasks.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching are necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.

Work Environment:

This role primarily operates in office, laboratory, and manufacturing settings, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and photocopiers. Personal protective equipment may be necessary at times.
