Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure the safe operation of all machinery.
  • Conduct necessary inspections and promptly report any discrepancies to management.
  • Execute all preventive maintenance tasks and document service requests as needed.
  • Adjust operational settings to guarantee the safe and efficient functioning of stationary equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts and inventory, including gaskets, chemicals, pumps, and more.
  • Participate in training sessions to uphold licenses and stay updated with new technologies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A valid Stationary Engineer license with certification proof is essential.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems, including pneumatic and electronic controls.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Boiler Systems, Ammonia and Freon Chillers, Air Compressors, Glycol and AHU cooling systems, Fire protection systems, Air Handling systems, Waste Water systems, and Hot oil systems.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The role requires the employee to frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling tasks, reach with arms, and climb or balance at heights using ladders or lifts. The employee may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces and must be able to communicate effectively. Occasionally, the employee may need to sit and must be capable of lifting or moving items over 50 pounds. Close vision and color vision are regularly required. The position may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and electrical hazards. Work is primarily conducted in a factory setting, which can be quite loud, and may involve exposure to hazardous materials or slippery surfaces.
