Make a significant impact in our production team

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the production schedule to ascertain the types and quantities of products to be mixed
    • Utilize SAP for material consumption in the work order
    • Complete batch records accurately
    • Prepare and label finished acid mixes with precision
  • Oversee machine setup
    • Adhere to work instructions, standards, and SOPs for equipment configuration and changeover
    • Detect and address issues during setup and transition
  • Determine necessary ingredients and equipment for each production cycle;
  • Supply the mixer with raw materials, including but not limited to sugar, lactic acid, citric acid, and malic acid; mixed products
  • Follow escalation protocols promptly when troubleshooting is required
  • Sift mogul starch and maintain cleanliness of mogul trays as necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Embrace and exemplify the Company's core values and operational principles
  • Comply with all company policies, GMP, and safety regulations
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support Ferrara Candy Company's objectives

Essential Skills for Success

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in batch production and/or culinary roles in food manufacturing is highly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Fundamental understanding of equipment capabilities, standards, and appropriate set points
  • Capability to pass certification tests for pallet jack and forklift operation
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; capacity to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to comprehend detailed written and/or oral instructions
  • Foster teamwork; maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform various tasks as needed
