Make a Difference in Production

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the production schedule to ascertain the types and quantities of products to be mixed
    • Utilize SAP for material consumption into the work order
    • Complete batch records accurately
    • Prepare and label finished acid mixes with precision
  • Oversee machine setup
    • Adhere to work instructions, standards, and SOPs for equipment setup and changeover
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during setup and changeover
  • Identify necessary ingredients and equipment for each production run;
  • Supply the mixer with raw materials such as sugar, lactic acid, citric acid, and malic acid; mixed products
  • Follow escalation protocols promptly when troubleshooting efforts are unsuccessful
  • Sift mogul starch and clean mogul trays as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Understand and embody the Company's core values and operational principles
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, GMP, and safety standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the objectives of Ferrara Candy Company

Essential Skills for Success

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in batch making and/or culinary roles in food manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic mathematical proficiency
  • Fundamental understanding of equipment capabilities, standards, and proper set points
  • Ability to pass certification tests for pallet jack and forklift operation
  • Capability to walk or stand for extended periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to comprehend detailed written and/or oral instructions
  • Foster teamwork; maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed
