Compensation Manager

Collaborate with the Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS teams to execute single or multiple projects, focusing on compensation functions such as salary administration, year-end processes, bonus administration, job evaluation, and salary grades and ranges.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage job evaluation activities, both ongoing and expanding into global sectors. Work with the team to plan and organize project objectives, timelines, and strategic activities to ensure timely and effective project completion. Conduct market pricing and analyses to support salary decision-making. Provide guidance on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluation, including designing creative solutions to compensation-related issues. Manage projects in compensation, benefits, and HRIS as needed to support department initiatives.
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
Minimum of seven years' experience in Compensation, with specific experience in incentive plan administration, survey preparation and analysis, job evaluation, salary structure, and incentive plan development. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills, including high competence in spreadsheet and database software, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of global compensation and IEP methodology.

Good negotiating skills and ability to effectively manage outsourced relationships. Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities, and manage conflict. Broad professional and managerial skills with a good understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. Ability to lead virtual teams.
Work Experience:
Typically, 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience. Typically manage a moderately complex section of a department, a small department, large process, or multiple smaller processes. Make recommendations for executing plans in accordance with senior management policies and directives. Accountable for meeting department operating objectives. Provide guidance to staff within established company policies. Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Assure adherence to and manage approved budgets. May play a role in high-level projects impacting the sub-function's future direction.
Complexity:
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Full knowledge of multiple areas within the sub-function derived from experience in non-management roles. Focus on executing goals in an accurate and timely manner.
Strategy:
Implement strategy to further the sub-function's larger goals through the work of professional staff. Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures affecting the sub-function.
Supervision:
Manage work and goals of professional-level staff performing non-routine work or who manage a process or system. May have subordinate supervisors.
Interaction:
Interact with senior management and/or customers, normally involving matters between functional areas and/or other company divisions or units. Often must lead a collaborative effort among members of a project team.
Management Duties:
Typically can hire, terminate, or promote; another level of approval may be required. Makes decisions on salary increases, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
Performance Requirements:
Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.
Preferred Education:
Typically, a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
Travel / Physical Demands:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
