Position Summary

The role involves assisting the Chief Medical Officer in overseeing and coordinating high-quality medical care for a diverse patient population, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across health centers.

Qualifications Required

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
  • Master's degree in Public Health Administration or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years in a management role within a healthcare setting
  • Proof of successful completion of National Board certification
  • Meets Medical Staff membership criteria
  • Preferred experience in outpatient care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certification in CPR and AED for Healthcare Professionals through recognized organizations
  • Strong understanding of clinical methodologies
  • Effective interpersonal skills for client and public interaction
  • Proficient in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license

  • Cultural competency in working with diverse populations
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card for specialty behavioral health locations

Daily Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Health Center and the Chief Medical Officer
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of medical policies and procedures, educating clinical staff on their importance
  • Support the implementation of the Patient-Centered Medical Home model to enhance clinical workflows and patient satisfaction
  • Supervise and evaluate Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants within the health center
  • Participate in the recruitment process for medical staff, including candidate interviews
  • Contribute to the development of diagnosis-related practices and guidelines
  • Collaborate with Health Center Practice Managers to evaluate performance
  • Lead regular medical staff meetings
  • Assist in maintaining clinical coverage as necessary
  • Engage in regular meetings with the Chief Medical Officer and other medical leaders to enhance clinical care
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer
