Position Summary
The role involves assisting the Chief Medical Officer in overseeing and coordinating high-quality medical care for a diverse patient population, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across health centers.
Qualifications Required
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
- Master's degree in Public Health Administration or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years in a management role within a healthcare setting
- Proof of successful completion of National Board certification
- Meets Medical Staff membership criteria
- Preferred experience in outpatient care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification in CPR and AED for Healthcare Professionals through recognized organizations
- Strong understanding of clinical methodologies
- Effective interpersonal skills for client and public interaction
- Proficient in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license

- Cultural competency in working with diverse populations
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card for specialty behavioral health locations
Daily Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the Health Center and the Chief Medical Officer
- Assist in the development and enforcement of medical policies and procedures, educating clinical staff on their importance
- Support the implementation of the Patient-Centered Medical Home model to enhance clinical workflows and patient satisfaction
- Supervise and evaluate Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants within the health center
- Participate in the recruitment process for medical staff, including candidate interviews
- Contribute to the development of diagnosis-related practices and guidelines
- Collaborate with Health Center Practice Managers to evaluate performance
- Lead regular medical staff meetings
- Assist in maintaining clinical coverage as necessary
- Engage in regular meetings with the Chief Medical Officer and other medical leaders to enhance clinical care
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer
