Job Summary

POWER Engineers is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Site Civil Engineer to support our electrical utility and renewable energy service areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil/site engineering projects, including grading and drainage/stormwater management, access road design, permitting, and construction support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation designs, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management calculations, and site layout and grading designs.
  • Perform detailed engineering reviews of work submitted by others and provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers/Managers to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.
Requirements
  • BSCE degree from an accredited university and Engineer-In-Training Certification.
  • Experience in site design for utilities, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, storm drainage, and stormwater management design, site grading, roadway, and utility design.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience and two to eight years of experience in civil site/design.
  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite and ability to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering License with NCEES Record and state reciprocity.
  • Stormwater management and hydraulic modeling software experience.
  • Electric utility substation design experience and managerial and leadership skills.
