Position: Machinist and Equipment Assembler

Role Responsibilities

The Machinist and Equipment Assembler will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting and executing basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to accurately construct machinery and products.
  • Utilizing both handheld and power tools effectively.
  • Assembling various parts, components, and units according to product specifications.
  • Managing inventory of products within workstations.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Identifying defects in products and completing necessary documentation for any discrepancies.
  • Reworking or repairing assembled machinery in accordance with engineering specification updates.
  • Adhering to quality standards and safety protocols in all tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operating manual machines such as Bridgeport and lathe for part fabrication.
  • Participating in various R&D projects, providing insights on design practicality.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in machinist or mechanical assembly roles.
  • Possession of mechanical tools is advantageous.
  • Basic skills in blueprint reading and the ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to generate new ideas.
  • Technical or vocational training or certification may be necessary.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift weights between 30-50 pounds.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Job Type

Full-time position with a pay rate of $32.00 per hour, paid weekly.
