Position Overview:

Role Summary:
We are looking for two knowledgeable Business Continuity Consultants to enhance our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in Business Continuity Management (BCM) methodologies, strategies, and practices.

The successful individuals will demonstrate their capability to thrive in a dynamic team setting, providing support and occasionally leading the delivery of BCM services across diverse sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trust with clients and colleagues, establishing a reputation as an effective problem solver.
  • Utilize provided tools and templates as necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality BCM and risk management products and services.
  • Ensure that deliverables consistently meet standards for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal leadership and decision-makers for client accounts.
  • Use company resources efficiently and cost-effectively.

Engagement Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Resilient Solutions BCM Consulting Team to provide input on engagement proposals.
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies, project plans, policies, and services for clients.
  • Maintain adherence to engagement scope and allocated consulting hours.
  • Provide constructive feedback to project managers.

Direct BCM Services:
  • Lead or participate as a team member in all aspects of BCM consulting.
  • Create actionable project plans for BCM engagements.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and assess areas of risk.

Plan Development:
  • Develop tactical plans for emergency response, crisis management, business unit continuity, supply chain agility, and IT disaster recovery.
  • Design training exercises for key personnel involved in response and recovery.
  • Recommend controls and monitor their effectiveness post-implementation.
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to fulfill contract and proposal requirements.
  • Establish governance policies for the long-term maintenance of BCM strategies and plans.

Qualifications:
  • BA or BS Degree; Postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • Business Continuity certification (BCI or DRII) preferred; CISSP is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in emergency response, business continuity, or disaster recovery across various industries.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 1600 and ISO standards related to BCM.
  • Proficient in BCM software and emergency notification systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to comprehend complex data and processes.
  • Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to produce detailed reports with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.

Specific Requirements:
  • Proximity to major transportation hubs is preferred.
  • Relevant academic experience in BIA/BCP.
  • Ability to engage immediately as part of a startup team.
  • Flexibility to work remotely and on-site as needed.
  • Familiarity with data gathering tools is a plus.
