Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parts Manager to lead our parts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and adhere to our absenteeism, reporting, and tardiness policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
- Customer Service
- Meet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing them with the information they need.
- Inventory Management
- Supervises stock order procedures.
- Ensures that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location.
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas.
- Operations
- Accurately prices parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keeps the computer system up to date.
- Enforces safety requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Prior automotive sales managerial experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of inventory control.
- Strong computer and phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, CRM).
- Professional.
- Strong work ethic.
- Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
