Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Production Lead to join our team in managing the gypsum manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest levels of quality, productivity, and safety within our production environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee team members in the gypsum production workflow to ensure that production targets are achieved or surpassed while enhancing efficiency through optimal use of personnel, materials, machinery, and processes.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality products that align with company standards.
  • Manage plant operations and ensure the security of the facility during periods when plant supervision is absent.
  • Identify and resolve immediate maintenance issues that impact productivity and product quality in the absence of the maintenance supervisor.
  • Maintain clear communication with plant staff through detailed documentation of shift activities to assist in assessing quality, process, maintenance, and personnel challenges.
  • Encourage team members in a manner that fosters positive morale, cleanliness, and high productivity levels.
  • Promote a safe working environment through effective safety training, enforcement of safety regulations, and conducting safety inspections.
  • Coordinate the training of all shift personnel to uphold safety standards, product quality, and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of production data and raw material inventories using SAP.
  • Administer plant work rules and manage attendance-related disciplinary actions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with SAP are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of gypsum processing and mechanical operations is preferred.
  • Experience in building product manufacturing is preferred.
  • Exceptional supervisory and communication abilities.
  • Good troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Willingness to actively engage and promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible work schedule availability.
  • Strong emphasis on safety practices.
  • Ability to enforce all plant safety and productivity objectives, including adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, including high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all management levels.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
  • Physical capability to access all areas of the plant.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ineligible for a hybrid work schedule.
