Athletic Training Internship

Join Kroenke Sports & Entertainment as an Athletic Training Intern and contribute to the success of our Colorado Rapids Academy team. As an intern, you will support the Academy Athletic Trainer in providing day-to-day sports medicine operations to approximately 80 players aged 13-17 years old.
Responsibilities:- Support the Academy Athletic Trainer in providing preventive care for Academy players.
- Evaluate injuries, provide treatment, and develop/reimplement rehabilitation programs.
- Maintain accurate medical records of player injuries, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming training room.
- Provide player hydration at training and games.
- Manage sports medicine inventory and budgetary items.
- Prepare game sites for practice and competition.
- Prepare medical kits for team travel.
- Administer ImPACT concussion testing.
- Minimum BS/BA degree in athletic training or related field like sports medicine.
- High School or GED.
- 2+ years' experience in field.
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
- Ability to maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing environments.
- Base hourly rate $18.29 per hour.
- 401K/Employer Match.
