In this position, you will be the main contact for clients, establishing, maintaining, and enhancing client relationships to resolve issues and retain customers. You will meet service delivery standards and perform essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by our agency. Experience with mid-sized to large market accounts is desired.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Work efficiently with agency producers to assemble, market, and place coverage for new clients.
  • Assist clients with coverage, using each contact with the client as an opportunity to review the whole account.
  • Prepare proposals and complete applications in coordination with producers, submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, obtain client signatures on all applications, and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Review current policy information with clients and make coverage recommendations.
  • Process insured policy change requests.
  • Follow up to ensure the accuracy of endorsements processed by the carrier.
  • Underwrite, rewrite, re-quote, reinstate, and cancel existing policies on behalf of the insured.
  • Obtain all underwriting information and/or any trailing documentation from the client on behalf of the carrier.
  • Note all interactions with Insureds in the agency-client management system.
  • Process insured payments and review billing accounts with insureds.
  • Maintain client files in the client management system.
  • Furnish clients with requests for proof of insurance (certificates of insurance, binders, policies, endorsements, ID cards, declaration pages, and evidence of commercial property forms).
  • Deliver client correspondence via Email/USPS.

Experience and Additional Competencies:

  • 2+ years' experience as a Personal Lines Service Agent or Account Manager.
  • Active Personal Lines License.
  • Experience with Mid-Size to Large market accounts.
  • Advanced knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to manage, maintain, and write assigned client and prospect lists effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge of or willing to learn EPIC system.
  • Full knowledge of insurance products and usages.
  • Ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality.
  • Working knowledge of all Personal Lines insurance, insurance agency operations, coverage, applications, rates, markets, and applicable insurance laws/codes/regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.

Education:

High School Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor degree for Advancement
