Job Overview

This is a part-time role averaging 29 hours per week, with a focus on early-month tasks related to billing. The position offers flexibility, combining remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will engage in various accounting responsibilities within the Finance department of Pioneer Resources.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include:

  • Securing revenue by addressing order and invoice issues, fostering customer relationships, and collaborating with the Finance Manager to rectify billing discrepancies.
  • Working closely with the Finance Director and management to review billing information.
  • Assessing the accuracy and completeness of data for claim submissions.
  • Employing the corporate billing system to manage monthly billing, including electronic or paper claims submission to third-party payers in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Monitoring service authorizations for third-party billing and coordinating with program staff to fulfill all requirements.
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all financial data related to patients and clients.

Qualifications
  • An associate degree in business administration or accounting is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solid understanding of complex reimbursement structures and applicable governmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software, Excel, and other office applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact respectfully and courteously with a diverse range of individuals, including those with disabilities.
  • Preferred experience in submitting electronic claims and/or managing property rent accounting.
Work Environment

This position typically operates indoors within an office setting.

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 10% travel may be necessary for meetings at other sites.
  • A personal vehicle is required as a company vehicle is not provided.
  • Travel is mainly local, with potential for some out-of-area and overnight trips.
Physical Requirements
  • This role involves sedentary work, with occasional lifting or carrying of small items not exceeding 10 pounds.
