Public Health Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Muskegon County Public Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our medical and nursing providers in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care by gathering and sharing information with healthcare providers
- Assist with the intake process, direct care, and monitoring of individuals
- Perform laboratory tests, including venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab testing
- Monitor and store medications, maintain a clean and organized work area, and provide excellent customer service
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Valid Michigan driver's license required
- CPR certification required
- Phlebotomy training
This position requires working in an office environment with frequent phone calls and occasional evening and weekend shifts. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, talk and hear, and perform physical intervention activities as trained.
