Position Overview:


The Field Service Specialist will be tasked with conducting service visits to various job sites and residences, addressing technical issues related to Trim, Interior/Exterior Doors, Hardware, and additional millwork products.

Our organization is seeking to enhance our team with skilled Service Technicians.


We supply building materials for the residential construction sector across the state, with multiple locations.

As the leading independent turnkey supplier for lumber, trusses, doors, and windows, we cater to general contractors, multifamily, and single-family builders.

Key Responsibilities:

Door Specific Duties:

  • Execute scheduled services as per Service Ticket directives.
  • Secure Homeowner or Superintendent signature on Service Ticket upon completion.
  • Capture images of signed Service Ticket and submit electronically to the Service Department.
  • If additional issues arise during service or warranty calls, document the issue on the Service Ticket and report to the Coordinator.
  • Utilize the Bistrack Mobile Delivery App for material deliveries and take delivery photographs.
  • Upon returning to the warehouse, submit completed and signed service tickets.
  • Prepare for the next day by reviewing tickets, selecting components, and loading the vehicle.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle at the end of the day.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety on the job and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Complete the Weekly Checklist for the service vehicle and schedule necessary maintenance.
  • After training, assist in onboarding new Service Technicians.
  • Collaborate with Service Schedulers to resolve field issues promptly.
  • Uphold general housekeeping standards after job completion, including cleaning up debris and leftover materials.
  • Maintain the organization of the service vehicle, including tools and storage areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction or technical roles.
  • Familiarity with millwork construction supplies is beneficial.
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management skills to complete tasks within set timeframes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills are advantageous.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Clean driving record is essential.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Capability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
Working Conditions:

  • The role may require extended hours as necessary to meet job demands.
  • Work is conducted in construction environments, which may involve exposure to loud noises, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Interaction with machinery and powered equipment entails associated safety risks.
  • Engage with various personnel and customers to address issues.
Physical Requirements:

  • The position may involve lifting, standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods in manufacturing or warehouse settings as well as on construction sites.
