Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Royalton, VT

Position: Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Royalton, Vermont
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: June 13, 2025
Caseload: 28 Students (Grades PreK-12)
Schedule: 4 days onsite; 1 day remote (for paperwork)
Pay: Starting at $45 per hour for fully qualified candidates

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team in Royalton, VT, to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across grades PreK-12. This is a full-time position, offering a unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 28 students with varying educational plans. The role will extend through June 13, 2025, and is a perfect fit for candidates looking for a challenging and rewarding position in an engaging educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students from PreK to 12th grade, addressing individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring they align with each student's needs and educational goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to meet evolving goals.
  • Provide support and training for staff members working with students requiring communication devices, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and communication with parents and team members.
  • Engage in regular team meetings, professional development, and collaborate with the wider educational community.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in Vermont schools.
  • Experience with communication devices, including AAC systems, is required.
  • Strong background in working with students in a school setting, particularly with diverse needs across PreK-12 grades.
  • Ability to create individualized therapy plans and interventions that support academic, social, and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate student records and documentation.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting the diverse needs of students with communication disorders.

Position Details:

  • This is a full-time, temporary position running through June 13, 2025. There is possibility for renewal for the 25/26 school year.
  • The SLP will be expected to work onsite four days a week, with the option to work one day from home to complete paperwork and other administrative tasks.
  • The position offers a competitive starting pay of $45 per hour for fully qualified candidates.
