The House Supervisor (RN) plays a pivotal role in nursing leadership and the coordination of nursing staff. This position is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services by overseeing and managing the team providing direct patient care. The House Supervisor actively collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization’s treatment philosophy and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Shift: 3, 12-hour shifts
Essential Duties:
Leadership in Patient Care: Directs the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services, showcasing clinical expertise and ensuring a therapeutic environment. Staffing and Coordination: Ensures optimal staffing based on patient needs and acuity, coordinating with the Scheduling Manager and facilitating admissions and discharges for efficient patient flow. Oversight of Treatment Plans: Monitors patient progress, providing recommendations aligned with treatment objectives, and addressing medical/nursing needs to improve patient care. Clinical Supervision and Training: Offers clinical supervision, guiding mental health specialists and nursing staff in their patient care duties, and providing constructive feedback to reinforce effective practices. Emergency Management and Liaison: Takes a leadership role in emergency situations, communicates concerns to senior management, and acts as a liaison among patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care. Personnel Management and HR Support: Oversees personnel functions, including staff supervision, orientation, performance evaluations, and employee relations. Assists in HR processes, anticipates staffing requirements, and proposes proactive solutions. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
