Job Introduction:

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deli Manager to join our team. As a Deli Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of deli professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and merchandise the deli department to maximize productivity and profit
  • Order and manage inventory controls, product quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
  • Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and greatest experience for customers
  • Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
  • Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
  • Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels
  • Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
  • Manage product orders, receiving, and storage
  • Operate and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations
Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age with 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of deli department experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to take and give direction
  • Strong focus on detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Food Safety certification
