Job Summary

Summary: As a Catering Associate with Compass Group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient food service on assigned units. This includes menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and pick-up, as well as special requests and in-between food delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with nursing departments, clinical dieticians, and other personnel to provide excellent patient services.
  • Introduce the "Catering to You" program to new patients, following scripted methods.
  • Take patient menu selections prior to meals and offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet, considering food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
  • Assemble trays according to patient menu on tray ticket and retrieve trays from patients' rooms.
  • Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPPA policies and procedures.
  • Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray line.
  • Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
