The Sales Specialist engages in various Sales and Customer Service functions, which include warmly welcoming and assisting all customers in a timely and friendly manner, handling products with care, and providing information, support, and guidance to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all patrons.

Showcases products to customers.

Restocks shelves as necessary in accordance with Merchandising standards.

Maintains expertise in products through continuous training and knowledge development.

Stays informed about promotional sales; ensures accurate pricing and signage.

Assists with the rearrangement of seasonal merchandise.

Restores inventory as needed.

Keeps the workspace clean, organized, and well-supplied.

Adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures.

Delivers an exceptional experience for every customer by aiding them in making informed purchasing decisions by:

assessing and understanding customers' needs,

offering product suggestions based on this evaluation,

promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Ability to perform calculations such as discounts and provide change to customers

Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers

Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts

Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.

Constantly communicate with others to exchange information

Occasionally repeat motions that may involve the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools

Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment

Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds regularly, may occasionally lift and move objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing team lift as necessary)

Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces

Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and creativity. Selects from limited options to resolve issues. Occasionally requires independent judgment to complete assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
