Job Overview

South Middlesex Opportunies is a leading organization in providing childcare services to residents under the direction of our experienced Family Therapist. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately $43,000 - $53,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will provide high-quality childcare services during assigned hours, complete documentation in a timely manner, and maintain confidentiality of client information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide childcare services during assigned hours (35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm)
  • Complete assigned documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of daycare area
  • Support parents when they are utilizing new parenting skills
  • Provide parenting education and support groups as assigned
  • Communicate with clinical staff on a regular basis, attend treatment team meetings
  • Respond effectively and inform the program management team of any emergency
  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency, and/or funder requirements, as well as SMOC policies & procedures

Requirements

  • High School/GED or 1 year's experience working with children in a daycare or pre-school setting
  • Ability to pass CORI/SORI as required
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
