Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Marathon Petroleum. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the safe and efficient operation of the on-shift personnel for the Marathon Pipe Line LA Basin Marine Terminal Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage health, safety, and environmental compliance, as well as maintain a good working knowledge of the operation to lead and supervise on-shift personnel.
  • Provide support in staffing, hiring, discipline, training, and career development of hourly personnel.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with Federal, DOT, OSHA, State, Local, and company requirements.
  • Handle initial Emergency Response/Spill Response.
  • Supervise routine operations, quality oversight, monitoring of measurement equipment.
  • Manage operations reports.
  • Provide oversight on Area Security Inspections, HES, and Hazard Identification.
  • Interfacing/coordinating isolation plans and or permitting of facilities within area of operation.
  • Participate/lead incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with Operations Supervisor peers and Area Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry operations and/or maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of HES policies/practices required.
  • Experience working or supervising in a Unionized work environment a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
