Job Overview

Position Summary: The Fundraising Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering administrative and clerical assistance to the Fundraising, Communication, and Volunteer departments within Catholic Charities.


Reports To: Director of Institutional Advancement Supervises: None

Key Responsibilities

Core Functions:

  • Offer administrative support for the organization’s development, volunteer, and communication requirements as directed by the Director of Institutional Advancement.
  • Direct supporters to the relevant personnel and assist clients in accessing community resources.
  • Manage the processing of donor birthday acknowledgments and other communications.
  • Code invoices for the Advancement Office accurately.
  • Assist in organizing seasonal initiatives such as the Archbishop Hannan Community Appeal, Serve, and holiday collections.
  • Oversee the inventory of all branded materials, letterhead, and office supplies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements: This role involves extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, and talking. The ability to lift up to fifteen pounds occasionally is required. Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary, involving non-strenuous daily administrative activities.

  1. Standing: Less than 33% of the time.
  2. Walking: Less than 33% of the time.
  3. Sitting: Between 33% and 66% of the time.
  4. Hand Use: Over 66% of the time for tasks requiring dexterity.
  5. Reaching: Less than 33% of the time.
  6. Communication: Full ability to talk and hear.
  7. Vision: Correctable vision is necessary.
  8. Lifting: Ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in providing administrative support.
  • Familiarity with clerical and administrative processes and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
